About Rain & Ray
A Different Kind of Remodeling Company
We're a woman-owned residential remodeling company that believes good projects start with honest conversations, careful planning, and the right people doing the work.
How Rain & Ray Came to Be
Rain & Ray was founded by Laura, who spent years working in construction management before deciding to build something of her own. She saw firsthand how homeowners were often left in the dark — unclear on costs, surprised by timelines, and unsure who was actually responsible when things went sideways.
She started Rain & Ray to do things differently. That means being upfront from the first conversation, building real relationships with clients, and working with tradespeople who share the same commitment to quality and accountability.
Over the years, Laura has also developed a particular focus on aging-in-place modifications — thoughtful changes that help people stay in their homes comfortably and safely as their needs evolve. It's work that requires both technical skill and genuine care for the people you're helping.
Woman-Owned. Community-Rooted.
Rain & Ray is proud to be a woman-owned business recognized by our neighbors on Nextdoor and rated A+ by the Better Business Bureau. We've built our reputation one project at a time, and we take that seriously.
Built on Experience. Guided by Values.
Honesty
We believe in being upfront about costs, timelines, and potential challenges so our clients can make informed decisions from the beginning.
Accountability
We take responsibility for managing the work, coordinating our tradespeople, and addressing problems when they arise. We stand behind our commitments.
Craftsmanship
We work with skilled tradespeople who take pride in their work. Quality materials, careful execution, and attention to detail matter at every stage.
Communication
We believe good projects depend on good communication. We keep clients informed, explain decisions, and encourage questions throughout the process.
Respect
We respect your home, your investment, and your trust. That means protecting your property, being considerate of your daily life, and treating you as a partner in the process.
The People Behind Your Project
Rain & Ray works with a trusted network of skilled tradespeople — carpenters, tile setters, electricians, plumbers, and painters — who we've vetted and worked alongside over many years. We coordinate the right people for each project, so you get experienced hands on every part of the job.
